Executive Team

Co-Founder & CEO Chris Celiberti

Chris has over 13 years of experience shaping strategy, technology, product and standardization of IP communications for wireline, mobile, and cable. He spent the past five years as a Director; Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff for NeuStar inc. Prior to NeuStar, he was on the founding team of Tello Inc. and several other Pulver.com startups. Chris has been an advisor at Open Media Labs and Parlerai. Chris has also held key positions at EDS, Bellcore (Telcordia), Portal Software (Oracle) and other leading technology companies. He is a recognized industry standards participant and speaker.

 

Co-Founder & CTO Ed Guy 

Ed is a seasoned computer systems architect and innovator and is responsible for the Clever Spoke technology. He has broad, deep, and practical experience in large-scale, network-based, systems.

Ed is the founder and CTO of e*MC Software, a software firm which enables emerging IP telephony technologies to be commercialized and brought to market. In this role, he was a founding team member and Chief Architect of Truphone, the mobile VoIP provider. Previously, Ed was founder and CTO of IPeerx, which was acquired by XConnect in 2006. As CTO and Chief Scientist at pulver.com he deployed Free World Dialup, the largest open VoIP system of the time. His team developed and distributed Windows-based softphones and provided Internet systems engineering for Bellcore/Telcordia Technologies when they first entered the VoIP market.

Dr. Guy has been awarded a patent in advanced communication techniques and has additional patents pending. He also authored two IETF Internet RFCs. He started his career at Digital Equipment Corporation and General Electric and earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.


Advisers

Tom Ely

Tom has more than 38 years of experience in telecommunications. He is responsible for developing architectures for the delivery of new mobile and converged services. He led the team, which developed Telcordia’s SPACE service creation system. He also has extensive experience in the development of new services including video and data services. Tom is a Telcordia Fellow and IEEE Fellow. He holds patents in the area of high availability systems, service creation, converged services and soft switch architecture. Tom was a Sr. Director and Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at NeuStar in the CTO organization.


Jonathan Askin

Jonathan joined Brooklyn Law School in 2008 with more than a decade of experience in the communications industry in both public and private sectors. He provided legal and policy counsel and strategic advice for companies that build and develop networks and Internet applications. A sought-after expert in the field of Internet law, he played a key role in the tech task force of President Barack Obama’s election campaign. He has also served as president and general counsel for the Association for Local Telecommunications Services and was a senior attorney at the Federal Communications Commission.


Carl Ford

Carl Ford has been exploring internetworking issues his entire career. From the development of custom networks such as fiber optic SONET Rings to special AIN features, Carl's 20+ years have always focused on satisfying customers needs with customer networks and services. This focus has given him a unique grasp on the impact that cost, regulatory and marketing issues have in rolling out new services. While working on Verizon's Internet strategy, Carl focused on the internetworking side of the business service for and billing technologies. Carl utilized this experience when he joined Telcordia to manage billing solutions for the first Class 5 Softswitch.
Carl later took his experience to Pulvermedia where he advocated for new VoIP protocols with various standards bodies. As a community developer for Pulvermedia, Carl developed all of the VON Conference content and became a significant voice for VON, a very successful IP Communications event.
As an integral part of the IP Communications community, Carl has been instrumental in helping develop various trade organizations and has advised many companies on both strategic and technical issues to satisfy the needs of these company's customers.
